More about Jen
Hi! Thanks for being here! I'll share a little about me, my walk with God, and why I write.

I am a small town girl from Humboldt County, CA. I'm a Jesus loving Gen-X goofball who got radically saved when I was 19 years old, in the late 90s. My work background includes fast food, retail, church leadership, and law enforcement. After 17 years in LE, God called me (kicking and screaming practically) out. It wasn't my plan to be a pastor, I was going to serve my community for 25 years and retire from my state job. That wasn't His plan for me though.
Sometimes people tell me God doesn't call women into ministry; someone is going to have to tell God that.

I spent about 15 years calling myself a Christian without talking to God, listening for God, reading my bible, or regularly attending church. After I messed up my life pretty well, I came back to Him crying, "Lord, I can't do this! I have messed up so much, I need Your help!"

My life changed when I rejoined His Church. Being with others who truly follow God with their whole lives helped me really began to focus on my relationship with Him. I learned how to allow Christ to form Himself in me. I learned God isn't mad at me, He has good plans for me, He is SO SO GOOD, and He wants to be active in my life. I learned about Holy Spirit in church. I learned how to read the Bible in church. I learned how to have healthy conflict in church. The love of God I received from the people of God transformed me from the inside out.

I now lead that church as their pastor, and I couldn't be more grateful to be a part of the family of God today. What God is doing on the planet right now is so exciting, I think it's the best time to be alive.

As I mentioned earlier, God called me out of the comfy state job I was happy in. I now get to lead a local church, write books, encourage the church all over the world , and help my husband run his business. I don't know what God has for me in the future, but I know it's going to be good.

I am passionate about helping other people hear God's voice for themselves so they can grow in their faith. God is so worthy of all of our worship, honor, and praise. He is also worthy of our dependence, our reliance, and our obedience. He is SO SO GOOD and His plans for us are so much bigger and greater than we can even dream. If we will trust Him and obey Him, who knows what He will do? Who knows where He will lead? Life with Him is an amazing adventure, and even when it's scary, following Him is the safest place you could ever be.

I want to encourage you to learn to hear Him, build trust with Him, and yield your life to Him. May the cry of our hearts be, "Lord, have Your way!"
