Introduction to Belief Rehab: You Are Enough
I see you there, in the middle.
A beautiful daughter of God, chosen and redeemed, you’re well on your way on this journey of becoming who He created you to be. Maybe you’re not who you desire to be, but you’re not who you once were!
I see you building the family the Lord has given you. While creating a life with others, walking with Jesus, and raising children, you learn your life is no longer solely yours. You are a part of something greater than yourself.
In the middle of spending yourself on the ones who call you mom, you are in a time that feels like it won’t ever end. It’s crazy to think that one day, instead of diapers and soccer practice, you’ll be looking at an adult friendship (hopefully) based upon mutual love, trust, influence, and the enjoyment of the humans you helped shape.
I see you pulled in so many directions! You want it all and you’re working to balance career and family, self-care and child-care, accruing and paying off debt. While you’re working through the day-to-day tasks of work, home, chores, health, managing crisis, I see you worrying you’re not doing any of it well and wondering if you’ve made the right choices.
I see the dreams in your heart you think you don’t have time for.

Right now, you’re in the middle of an amazing journey. You’ve overcome so many times, you’ve done some incredible things, you’re becoming someone you’ve never been before and she’s so beautiful. I’m proud of you. I want to help you intentionally shape your journey so you can love the person you are as you fall in love with whom you're becoming.
Our lives are infinitely more than the shareable moments we are willing to show people.
Life is not just the graduations, wedding days, birthdays, and bucket list items. We build our real lives in the middle, in the in-between. No one sees some of the most important moments in our lives. Our beliefs in those moments are the only thing holding us back from the life we’re created to live.
Say this with me. Let’s personalize it: My beliefs are the only thing holding me back from the life God created me to live.
You can choose to live your life laying hold of the things God created you for. The alternative is trudging through life, unaware of the calling, beauty, and hope you are called to. Will you let your heart believe God intentionally formed you for a purpose? Will you shake off the burdens our society tries to place upon us all and fall in love with the journey of becoming the version of you God created? There’s joy to be found in the everyday things we spend ourselves on.
You are not alone
You’ve never been without help. Although you may have felt isolated and abandoned, you have never walked a single step of this life alone. The Creator of the stars created you for His good purposes (Ephesians 2:10). The God of the universe dreamt of you, and then He placed you in this moment to be His Beloved Daughter, wife, mom, friend, entrepreneur, coach, mentor, and visionary. He planted His dreams into your heart, and He also placed gifts and talents inside you, along with ideas and a measure of Himself. You have everything you need to fulfill the purposes He has planned for you. God believes in you, and so do I!
One slight change in your heart's beliefs can change everything. One tiny shift in what you consider truth can affect every step you take for the rest of your life. In a moment, God can invade your beliefs and shift your life, the lives around you, and your lasting legacy. In everything you do, in everything you believe, in moments in the middle where we build our lives, the Lord is with you.
The Lord wants to be invited. His desire is to be invited into your life, your heart, your decision-making process, your relationships, your intimate life with your husband, your finances, your creativity, your business ventures, your work ethic, your parenting, and every other piece of your life that you can think of. He wants to affect the way you think about yourself and your life. His heart is to transform the way you see yourself and others. He has strategy, provision, wisdom, and ideas to release through you, so you can give all praise and glory back to Him. There’s not a shred of your life He doesn’t have insight and provision for. He is with us in the process of becoming, and He wants to be involved with it!
Because you have Him, you are enough. Your weaknesses, fears, and inadequacies aren’t obstacles for Him. Before establishing the world, God chose you to be adopted into His family (Ephesians 2:4,5), and he planned good things for you to walk in (Ephesians 2:10). God delights in you, and He is with you in every moment. He is with you in the good, the bad, the scary, the curated photo-worthy moments, and the everyday moments no one else sees. He is with you here in the middle of your journey, and I believe He wants to help you find joy in the everyday things you do.
You, my friend, are designed for both dream chasing and finding joy in everyday moments.
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out the introduction of Belief Rehab: You Are Enough. I've been so fortunate to be able to share this book with you. Just the other day, someone I'd met just a couple of times came up to me and said, "I read your book!" She was so sweet as she shared this would be a great resource for a mom book group, and she was sending a copy to her daughter in law. Just a few days later, someone came up and told me they keep giving their copies away, so they needed more. I'm not so concerned with making money with this thing, I just want to get it into the hands of the people who need to hear the message God has for them. He loves them. He has good plans for them. I love that He is so patient that He takes us by the hand and walks us through everything we need to go through. He's so good!
Lord, I pray that You will keep moving upon the hearts of Your people to help us walk into all that You have planned for us! Help us not to settle for anything less.
